Job description

City Magnolia Day Spa is looking for a motivated, reliable Front Desk Receptionist. If you strive to give good customer service and are a team player, then this is the job for you.

The Customer Service Representative is a fundamental part of the Spa team whose main objective is to ensure our guests have a smooth arrival, treatment and departure experience. This candidate will develop communication skills through frequent interaction with customers, learn industry technology, basic business skills and much more.

Qualifications

  • One year or more of retail, salon, hospitality, restaurant, customer service or office experience
  • Excellent customer service
  • Must love sales
  • Ability to work well and maintain organization in a fast paced environment
  • Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Legally able to work in the U.S. with proper documentation
  • Available to work evening and weekend shifts (required)
  • Bonus if you are familiar with Meevo

Job description:

  • Comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Able to close a sale over the phone or at the spa.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of the spa.
  • Maintain notes and guest history in management system.
  • Inspect spa for cleanliness and product needs.
  • Be familiar with and set up as needed spa packages, promotions, prices and rates.
  • Close out end of shift.
  • Answer spa desk phones.
  • Set appointments for clients.
  • Use Computer Sales System to ring up sales and keep track of money.
  • Process gift cards.
  • Answer questions on spa treatments
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Keep desk area neat.
  • Keep bathrooms neat.
  • Report all issues and concerns to Spa Manager.
  • Participate in all spa meetings, training sessions and other information meetings.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain communications with spa staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide high-energy personable customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Greet and check-in clients as they arrive
  • Check out clients after their services: including cash and credit card sales
  • Schedule client appointments and update client records
  • Communicate with team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of appointments
  • Educate clients about our salon services and products
  • Maintain salon appearance
  • Arrange retail product
  • Restock marketing materials
  • Take out trash
  • Keep bathroom and kitchen areas neat, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management.
  • Conduct client assessments to create personalized treatment plans.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and self-care practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Keep accurate records of treatments and client progress.

Experience and Requirements

  • Valid Massage Therapy License (required)
  • Knowledge of anatomy and human physiology
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport
  • Experience in deep tissue massage preferred
  • Previous experience in a day spa or similar environment is a plus
